The Adams County Technical Institute’s Criminal Justice class offers students the opportunity to earn college credits through affiliation with Harrisburg Area Community College H.A.C.C. in the following courses:
- 3 Credit course – CJ 101 – Introduction to Criminal Justice which is taught throughout the whole junior year.
- 3 Credit course – CJ 104 – Police Operations which is taught in the Fall of the senior year.
- 3 Credit course – CJ 212 – Criminal Law and Procedure which is taught in the Spring of the senior year.

Requirements for Law Enforcement Jobs
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Minimum age is usually 21.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
- No felony or misdemeanor convictions.
- Must pass a written entrance test.
- Must pass a physical fitness test.
- Must pass an oral interview.
- Must pass a physical examination.
- Background investigation is conducted.
- Must pass a psychological evaluation.
- Upon hire candidate must obtain required certification from an accredited academy.
